Tracy from Momaical had mentioned she wanted all of us to write a post about LOVE and what we thought of it. I had the perfect post for it and now that I'm actually able to sit down and write I can't seem to put it all into words so please bear with me. There are so many things to say about LOVE that we could talk about it from any angle...so I'll start with...
One of my favorite things about love is that it is definitely patient. I don't think you can love a person without patience. I only know this from experience not from my end but from my husbands...he's been so patient and understanding with me. Let me tell you, if I was the guy in the relationship I woulda left me a long time ago. I came from a very sheltered home. I didn't know how to handle my finances until they were in ruin. I didn't know how to be in the kitchen till I almost blew up the house. My husband has been there with me every step of the way. He's always yelling and encouraging me at the same time. I seriously don't understand how he does it.
The more I think about it the more I'm so thankful that he's in my life. I've been given such an amazing man that has given me so much support. Although, I may not always like how blunt and honest he is at my most emotional times it's just the thing I need.
It takes a lot to actually love someone. You can't just buy them lovely gifts. You have to spend your time with them. It then becomes more about them.
Because my husband and I have felt so loved by those around us we wanted to share it with others too! Funny that it landed right on the month of love! So we've been reaching out to friends that we haven't been able to hang out with much. Or those that we've just met. We've had the privilege and honor of helping a friend baby sit their 3 month old so her and her husband can finally go on a date. Then helping a friend throw a party or just attending a party and showing up to show them that you care. Or helping a friend tidy up their home since they have so much going on. Yeah it's a lot of work having to spend a lot of energy into others but in the end it's worth it. You'll not only make a difference in their life but they in yours as well...you'd be surprised.
Isn't life about sharing it with others. Life is short so we want to be able to make an impact on not only their lives but their heart as well. There was this sweet elderly lady, she just recently lost her husband...I had greeted her one day with a great big hug! She just laughed, giggled and said we should all be greeted like this. She's the sweetest lady!
If I could, I would... give everyone a big hug and tell you how much you mean to me! Thank you for taking the time to read. Just having an outlet to share these little things is just so relaxing...no that's not the right word...maybe freeing....yeah I think that's it...
What does love mean to you? How do you like to show your love to your family and friends? What do you think the benefits are and why do you think we should do these things?
Love
