Why do people feel the need to go to other neighborhoods to do their trick or treating?
Some of my neighbors ran out of candy at 7:20 tonight when trick or treating was from
6-8 p.m. My house is at the entrance of the development and at 5:55, the cars were lined
up with kids packed inside just waiting to grab our grub. I am not a stingy, selfish person
(ok maybe a little) but I get candy to give to trick or treaters from my neighborhood, not
some other peoples' neighborhoods. Is it just me??

We went to a Halloween party and no one was home to hand out candy.  Afraid of some "tricks" being played on our house, I left a bowl with candy and a note.  I expected all the candy to be snagged - but not the bowl it was in!  How do you handle not being home to hand out candy?  Leave a bowl?  Keep the house dark?
